You know that old 80’s song by Lover Boy……nothing is more true. Everybody is fo sho workin for the weekend. And I am SO happy that the weekend is finally upon us. This has been a long week for no other reason than Thanksgiving is next week and we are embarking on my most favorite time of year. Now if only the weather would be on board and cooperate already. I want so badly to wear my pea coat and heavy sweaters. It’s sad when you get excited when the temperature forecast is in the low 60’s. I’m not saying I need it to snow or anything but give us something a little nip in the air, a cold front, a strong breeze, I’ll take anything at this point. Work with me Mother Nature! Anyhow, I’ve got big plans for this weekend. It’s Clint’s weekend off (he works every other weekend) and we plan on putting the Christmas tree and holiday decorations up. Nothing makes me happier than Christmas decorations and I'll be especially excited once we know what we are having so I can buy another stocking to hang. J Just thinking about that old ass tree we have that we put up every year makes me giddy. I like to think of it as an antique seeing how it was given to us by my parents when we got married, who knows how long they had it before that. But it’s still kickin so might as well keep using it. On top of that it’s BREAKING DAWN WEEKEND!!!!
Now I realize that I am 30 years old and it is probably not “appropriate” for me to love the Twilight series and to be pining after guys that are half my age……but if lovin Twilight is wrong, then I don’t want to be right! And FYI I am team Edward all the way, poor Jacob never stood a chance. So I’m going tonight to see it with friends and then again on Sunday to see it with my mom and Kelly. Which I would just like to add that my mother is way more excited about this movie coming out than I am and I won’t even tell you how old that woman is (it’s a good thing Janice doesn’t read my blog). Call me a tween wannabe, call me a twihard, call me anything you want…..just don’t call me between the hours of 7:30 pm – 9:30 pm because I’ll be at the movie grill. J
And on that note, I bid you adieu…….I’ll be sure and keep you posted on how putting up the tree goes, something always seems to happen every year when we try to put it up, my fingers are crossed that it goes smoothly. Last year we had the pleasure of trying to keep Max away from the tree. He always got just close enough to make you nervous and he always had that look in his eye that something was about to go down any minute. It's hard living on edge like that every day.....Oh well, this year will be different. I'm on to him now, I got his number......bring it Max! (I'm probably going to regret that later)
Happy Friday!
