One Month Down

Baby girl is one month old! It's hard to believe that it's been a month already. It feels like a lifetime ago since I was pregnant. Where did the time go?

Since having her we've had our ups and downs but we're finding our groove. I can't complain though, she's a very good baby. Recently we've been having tummy issues, a.k.a gas. I think it was the bottles we were using. For the past couple nights she's been up all night....and not just up, but screaming. There was no consoling her. I tried rocking her, I tried walking with her, I tried bouncing her, I tried feeding her, changing her, I did everything short of standing on my head and if I thought for a split second that would work trust me I would have done that too. Poor Clint, even though he had to go to work he was up with her too....there's no sleeping in a house with a screaming baby. On the nights we didn't bottle feed her because I nursed her all night, we had no issues. Therefore the bottle must be the culprit. So we switched bottles and it has been like night and day. I finally have my mellow and easy going baby back. Not only does she sleep again at night but best of all there's no screaming. Hallelujah! We ended up switching from the Avent bottles to the Tommee Tippee and she loves them. I definitely recommend them to anyone who has a baby with tummy issues like mine.

Other than our run in with gas, it's been a great month. She's growing like crazy....someone is up to 8 pounds and 15 ounces and 21 inches long. She gained over a pound since her last visit. And I believe it. She eats every couple of hours. We are up to 4-5 ounces each feeding and mama is having a hard time keeping up with her. I feel like a milk machine that's supposed to feed on demand. I'm managing but it's getting hard when you're her sole food source. I had a nice little stock pile started awhile back that I've had to dip into because of how much she's eating. I just hope I can keep the momentum going.

Started using her pacifier....finally.

Someone loves her Violet puppy!

Duke is a little confused by her.

Power to the people!

I love this picture, somehow I was able to take the picture
 just as she started smiling.

Rocking with Papa....and may I point out that Clint finally put up the valances.

This is a gift we received that has all of Stella's birth facts printed on it.
How cool is that! I think they got it made from Etsy.

This just makes me laugh.

Preppy Stella!

Crochet sandals from Clint's step mom...so cute!

Multi tasking at it's best.

Missy prissy at one month old!

Strike a pose.

Feels like so long ago.

To celebrate her one month birthday we went to JC Penny's for some portraits. We went for their $8 package and left a $100 later. What can I say, I may have gone a little over board....just a little. But hey, I'm a first time mom I reserve the right.

Another thing we experienced this week was tummy time! Pictures and video to follow soon, needless to say someone is not a fan.
