Since being home Max and Duke have had a bit of a disagreement as to whose puppy Stella is. Duke seams to think she is his, and Max thinks she belongs to him. This would be really sweet and cute if they weren't growling at each other all day long whenever the other one gets too close. Half the time they aren't even near her, they are just growling from across the room. I guess it's better they care too much than not at all. I just wish they would get on the same team already and work together. Slowly but surely they'll calm down, but it's still a work in progress. J
Stella had her 2 week checkup on Wednesday and she is doing great! She gained 8 ounces putting her at 7 lbs and 10 oz (almost back to her starting birth weight of 7 lbs and 15 oz) and she grew a quarter of an inch putting her at 20.75 inches. That puts her in the 50% for weight and 75% for height. Unfortunately she seams to have inherited my tiny head, she's only in the 45% for her head. That's okay, we small heads do just fine. J
Since being home we are developing a rhythm. She sleeps through the day and is up at night but that's ok, because when she is awake she's an absolute joy. Always bright eyed and smiling, she's a happy baby....very mellow. She has a lot of Clint's features but I like to think she has my temperament, I was an easy baby too. J The only time she cries is when we change her diaper, bathe her or are late feeding her....girl does not like to wait on a meal and who can blame her. We feel so blessed to have a healthy baby and I can't wait to see her grow and for her personality to really shine through.J
Tomorrow will be my first Mother's Day, I'm anxious to see what Clint has planned. I'm hoping maybe it will involve putting up the valences in the nursery? Maybe? J I'm dying to post final pictures of the nursery but I want to wait until it's all done....one day.
Clint starts back at work full time on Monday (said with sad face with tears). It's been a wonderful 2 weeks with just the three of us. I'm really going to miss him being home. If it wasn't for Clint I don't know what I would have done. Because of him, we were able to do this all by ourselves without any help the first 2 weeks of being at home. He knew just what to do and never freaked out. I think I was freaking out enough for the both of us (he's resumed his position as "the rock" again, and no I'm not talking about the wrestler). Thanks to Clint, I feel comfortable and ready to be able to take care of her on my own. And if need be, I always have reinforcements that are only a phone call away. I'm lucky to have friends and family so close to me who can help when I need it. We'll see what next week brings, but I'm really going to try and do it by myself.
Below are some more pictures of our beautiful Stella! Enjoy!
Speaking of pictures, we got our maternity pictures back. They turned out so good! I'll post them soon. We also had her newborn pictures taken at the hospital while we were there and they turned out really good too! I couldn't believe how great they looked. Who knew the hospital photographer would be such a life saver? One last thing to do on my never ending to-do list. Those will be posted soon as well. J

Sweet girl in her jammies.
On our way to Stella's 2 week doctor's appointment.

My sweet baby.
Trying to lift herself up.
