I have to say, we were pretty productive this past weekend. No, we haven’t made any head way in cleaning out the guest bedroom yet (let’s not get crazy). But we did get Stella’s furniture ordered. We went on Saturday with my mom to Buy Buy Baby and ordered her convertible crib, double dresser, side table, glider chair and ottoman. All the furniture should be in by March. So that gives us a definitive deadline for getting her room cleaned out.
The nice thing about Buy Buy Baby is when they deliver the furniture they put it together and arrange it for you. Clint was very excited to hear that he didn’t have to put anything together (although we'll probably stage some "action shots" to make it appear as though he helped, for scrap book purposes of course....shhhhh don't tell anyone) J . So one way or another she will have furniture in her room come March. One more thing to check off my ever expanding and never ending to-do list. Still have a long ways to go but we are getting closer.
Picture of her crib and dresser. We ordered the double dresser that's behind the crib (minus the hutch). We didn't order the tall dresser yet because I'm not sure how much space is going to be left in her room.
Picture of her bedding, we will probably order this after my shower.
My most favorite part of the room, the glider chair and ottoman. Both Clint and I tried this bad boy out and it was com-fy!
Not only did we buy furniture this weekend, but I finally bought Stella some clothes. I hadn’t purchased anything for her, I'm talking not one single thing and was starting to feel like a terrible person/mother. So when my friend Shannon, who is about a week and half ahead of me, invited me to come along to a garage sale with her and her mom to look at gently used to brand new baby clothes, I jumped on it. I decided what the heck, might as well check it out and see what they have. And I am so glad I did. I bought her some cute onesies that she can wear when we bring her home from the hospital, some sleepers, a couple cute two piece outfits, and an adorable Christmas outfit all for under 30 bucks! The onesies were $1 and the outfits were $2. That my friends is a steal!
Lots of cute summer outfits that I can’t wait to put on her. And check out the baby converse!
These are Clint’s favorites. I saw the pink onesie with the skull and cross bones and couldn’t resist. This might be tacky for other people, but for those of you who know my husband knows this is right up his trucker-alley.
I never thought I’d be into the ruffles and girly stuff, but I am lovin it! Who knew? I love this black dress, I'm thinking this might fit around Christmas time.
Another milestone we hit this weekend is that I’m starting to feel some actual twitches/kicks instead of just the “popping” sensations. Not a lot but I’ll take what I can get. She’s defiantly making her presence more known these days. J
