We had our follow up doctor's appointment today. When we went to the gender scan last month she was lying on her stomach/face down the entire time and we couldn’t get her to flip over (she’s already a stubborn little thing). So we had to come back today so the doctor could hopefully get a look at her from the front and check everything out properly. I’m happy to say she cooperated this time! She was already lying on her back ready for us and he got a good look at her from all angles.
According to the Doc she is right on track! In fact I believe his exact words were "she is just perfect". Don't want to brag but you know I have to.J She's growing like a little weed. She weighs 1 pound and 3 ounces and her heartbeat was 163 bpm. Couldn't be happier. I don't know why but every time we have a doctor's appointment I have a moment of anxiety and sheer panic where I fear the worst. I don't know if that's my pessimistic side coming out or maybe it's the fact that I'm becoming a parent and the worrying has just begun, but it's such a relief when we get a good report when we go. We are still trucking right along, just right.
Unfortunately, Clint wasn't able to go with me to this appointment because he had to work.L He's gone to all my other doctor's appointments with me, even the monthly checkups, because he doesn't want to miss a chance to hear our daughter's heartbeat or see her on the sonogram. He's just as giddy as I am about all of this. Luckily, they recorded the session and gave me a DVD so we'll be able to watch it together later on tonight. I know he hated to miss it.

What’s that old wives tale about heart burn? If you have it means the baby is growing hair? Well if that’s the case then this kid must have a freaking Afro by now because I am having the worst heartburn of my life! And I don't know if I've built up a tolerance or what but Tums just ain't working anymore.
