I had my first ever baby shower this weekend. It was amazing! My friends really came through for me and pulled off a truly special shower. I am so grateful for all the hard work they did and am lucky to have such giving and caring friends. J
The shower was at Kelly, my sister-in-law’s, house and was hosted by Kristie, Kelly, Jeaux, Sarah, Bethany and Lauren. All of my friends, work buddies and family came. I was overjoyed to see everyone there. The food was delicious, the cake was beautiful and the presents…….oh my, the presents. I have never seen so many in all my life. It warms my heart to see how loved Stella is and that she’s coming into this world with so many people who can’t wait to meet her. You can’t buy that kind of support, we are truly blessed. Thank you so much to everyone who came and for your generosity.
I had brought a camera with me to take pics but of course that got left in my purse so I’m waiting to get the rest of the pics from people who were there, but here’s a couple that Kristie’s mom sent me.

How cute is this cake?

Really wished I would have smiled for this pic. The frame says "S" is for Stella Shinning Star (which is what Stella means). Katie had it made on Etsy. Loves it!

Honestly other than a few odds and end things we really don’t need anything else off our registry. We got everything we could possible need and more. We really cleaned house, it was such a great shower and a truly wonderful day. Stella must have enjoyed herself too because she was kicking up a storm when I was opening up her gifts. She must have known they were for her. J
Next on the agenda? Baby furniture! The furniture will be here on Wednesday, yeah! So we'll be spending most of this weekend going through all the presents and organizing everything to make room. Also this weekend we have our baby prep class which I am so looking forward to. It’s a Baby Care/CPR class and I think it’s going to be really helpful for us. It goes over the basics of child care, learning and listening to your baby’s cues, safety tips and CPR training, SIDs info and a lot of other useful stuff that Clint and I are clueless about. It’s from 9-4 so it will be a full day of learning! Afterwards I have my friend Shannon’s baby shower. We are only 2 weeks apart! How crazy is that?
Sunday my goal is to start washing baby clothes and start on the thank you cards. I took way too long with the thank you cards from my wedding shower so I am determined to redeem myself this time around. Redemption will be mine! J
