This is a saying right? "Now you're cooking with gas!" I think it means you are doing something right or with enthusiasm. If that's the case then watch me cook! Because we were very productive last weekend.
My mom came over on Saturday around 10 a.m. and helped me tackle Stella’s room. I think I was getting overwhelmed with everything and just didn’t know where to start, so I was very grateful to have her there to get the ball rolling. With my mom’s help, okay it was mostly my mom but I was there, we got all of her 0-3 month clothes washed and put in drawers, went through all of the shower gifts and got everything put up and organized (for the most part) and put the bedding on the crib. So the room is officially starting to look more like a nursery.

Clint was super helpful too. He put together the pack n play, the high chair, the stroller, the bouncer, everything that needed assembling. He even put the base in the car so that’s all ready to go. We still need to take the stuff off of the walls and put things up, but baby steps. I'm just glad we are finally making progress.
I am so excited, I ordered some really cute letters from Etsy that match the room decor and are in the same pattern as her bedding. Once it's in I'm going to put the letters above her crib. I'm also ordering a hanging book shelf this week to put her books on. So slowly but surely it’s all getting done.....finally. J

Here are some progress pictures
Still have some work to do, not everything is put up but we're getting there.
Dresser area. The chair and ottoman will go by the window once it's here.
Stroller!
The dogs are very confused by the pack n play.
Highchair!
Working on the nursery aside, I have to confess my back is feeling A LOT better. I don’t know if she finally moved off of my sciatic nerve or if sleeping in the recliner has helped, but I’m finally starting to walk without a limp. That's huge! Because I was this close to starting to drag my leg just to make the pain go away. So there’s hope yet! So for anyone who experiences bad back pain like I did I highly recommend investing in a recliner and sleeping in it. If nothing else it helped to stretch out and it's the closest thing you can get to sleeping on your back.
