On Your Mark....Get Set....Crawl!

That's right! My little Stelly bean is crawling! I can't believe she's mobile. I never thought this day would come and yet it has. I'll never forget that day either. It was a Sunday afternoon on January 6th. It started out like any other day. We played, we laughed, we napped. It was a good day. Then that evening we were in her room playing. She'd been getting up on all fours and rocking back and forth for awhile. She had already mastered the backward scoot. Girl could kick it in reverse like no other. When all of a sudden, from across the room there was a ball. Normally Stella doesn't care about these kind of things, girlfriend likes the big toys. But this ball was tiny and fits perfectly in her hand and she loves to chew on it. She must have really wanted it bad because I swear i blinked and before I knew it she put one hand in front of the other and propelled herself forward! It wasn't the most graceful crawl, wobbly at first and a little awkward. She kept getting hung up on her feet. But now almost 2 weeks later, she is a crawling machine!

Not only is she mobile but she's pulling herself up on things. You name it and she pulls up on it. The Exersaucer, the ottoman, my leg. She loves to stand. Makes her feel like a big girl. When she does it she gets the biggest goofiest grin on her face. Have I mentioned how much I love her smile? She smiles with her whole face. Her eyes crinkle, she wrinkles her nose and shows all 5 teeth. It melts my heart. :)

She loves to crawl in the bathroom.

Havin a good time with her cups!

Loves to chew on her highchair.

So much to play with!

 Pretty girl.

 Lookin at mama.

Someone has a sock monkey on her booty!

 Mischevious.

And she's off!

Stella also started eating apples this week. Needless to say, she loves them. I think she's going to have a sweet tooth like her mama. So far her favorite foods are carrots, sweet potatoes and apples. She tolerated peas. This weekend she's going to get squash. We'll see how that goes. She also had yogurt for the first time. We got the Yo Baby yogurt and she ate the entire thing. Loved it with a capital LOVE. :) She's a really good eater. And why wouldn't she be? She's part Italian and our people love to eat! There's no shame in it, just got be sure to teach her portion control. ;)
