We are in the Home Stretch!

We were very productive last weekend. A lot of items got marked off "the list" and we are now in the home stretch eagerly waiting the arrival of baby Stella.J

Saturday we got our maternity pictures taken. I was skeptical at first about getting them done. I mean come on I'm huge right now, do I really want to look back later on and remember how big I was? Apparently I do.....and I'm so glad we took them. We used a friend of mines cousin, Stefani Marcus Photography, and she was amazing! I was really nervous and unsure of what to expect, but she made it really comfortable and fun, and she was reasonably priced. Clint even had a good time and he was even more skeptical than I was.

Our pictures were at 9:00 a.m. at Prather Park in Highland Park and it was so beautiful! I've never seen so much greenery and flowers in my life. Plus, since it was early in the morning it was still cool outside and that made it so much nicer.

Here's a sample of our pictures.
I should get the rest within the next couple of weeks.

After we were done taking pictures we picked up my mom and went to Buy Buy Baby to buy the rest of the stuff we needed off our registry. Which wasn't a lot since we got so many great gifts from my shower. All we ended up buying was the video monitor, the nap nanny, extra crib sheets and burp clothes, the valances for the windows and some other odds and end items, we are all set!

My friend Kristie and her mom also came over to see the nursery and to bring over her bassinet that they are letting me borrow.

I'm so excited. She had it repainted and put new ribbon and bedding in it.
So thankful to be able to use it.

And to top it all off Clint finally felt Stella kick! I'd been feeling her kick for awhile and recently I've been able to actually see the kicks but every time I would call him over she'd stop. So on Sunday she was kicking up a storm (she's normally the most active early in the morning and late at night) so I told him to just sit next to me with his hand on my belly and just leave it there. Within minutes she gave two big kicks. He was so happy, I was worried we were going to go through this entire pregnancy without him getting to experience it. He said it was very "strange", but in a good way. J

We had really bad weather on Tuesday. Tornado warnings all through the DFW area, really scary stuff. I was at work and Clint luckily was home. I guess while he was waiting out the storm he decided to be proactive and do some more things around the house. By the time I got home he had the garage completely cleaned out and organized into the shelving units we bought awhile back, repainted the wall in our bedroom that was chipping, folded all the laundry and did the dishes. We should have bad weather more often! Not really, but if that' what it takes to light a fire under him I'm willing to risk it (wink wink).
