Stelly Bean is a Growing Machine!

I had my 36 week checkup last week to see how miss Stella was progressing. Everything looked fine, my blood pressure went down. Woo Hoo! I think I'm an anomaly to my doctor. With as much and as bad as I've been swelling she just can't figure out why my blood pressure isn't higher. That's not to say it won't sky rocket later, but for right now it's still in the safe range....yup that's me, I'm an anomaly. J The only issue was that she thought Stella was measuring big. Normally when they measure your belly the number correlates with how many weeks you are, give or take 2 weeks. So with me being at 36 weeks, the measurements should have shown anywhere between 34-38 weeks. Well mine was showing up as 41, that's quite a difference. And because of that she decided to have me schedule a sonogram for this Monday just to check in and see how big she actually was.

The appointment went good. Everything looks great. Her heart beat is normal, the placenta looks good and the blood chord looks good. Everything is as it should be. She's head down and is ready to go! The doctor did say her weight was measuring at 7 pounds and 12 ounces. Which isn't "huge" like my doctor initially thought but for only being 36 weeks and almost 8 pounds that's still pretty big. If I were to go full term she could easily be a 9 or 10 pound baby, give or take. So he's going to talk it over with my doctor and we'll see what she says at my 37 week checkup appointment tomorrow. I'm sure they'll probably just let it ride for awhile and then maybe induce me at 39 weeks. We'll see what she says. But then again Stella could be on her own agenda and come at any time. Its' any body's guess as to when she'll make her debut. My money's leaning more towards the end of the month.J

That's all the news I have right now. Still waiting on the rest of our maternity pictures to come in and I'm waiting to post final nursery pictures until Clint hangs up the valences on the windows. So be on the look out for those soon! The room does look pretty amazing if I do say so myself, and yes that sound you hear is me tooting my own horn....toot toot!
