I Have a 1 Year Old!

I can not believe that I am the mother of a 1 year old! I keep saying it over and over again out loud and it still doesn't seam real. You never truly have a concept of time until you have a baby and you see how fast it goes by. I...have...a...one...year...old. Yup still doesn't sound real.

We had the best birthday weekend with Stella. That's right I said weekend. Following in true girl fashion little miss had a whole weekend of fun birthday festivities. I took off Thursday to be with her on her actual birth day. We had a great mommy Stella day running errands and getting stuff ready for her party. On Friday we took Stella to the Ft. Worth zoo with some friends and spent the whole day there. It was so much fun. I think her favorite animals were the giraffe and the elephants, probably because they were so big you couldn't miss them. And she loved to people watch.

Saturday was her birthday party. We had it at my mom's house and it was so much fun. She got so many great toys and clothes from all of our friends and family. It was so heart warming to see how many people love and support Stella.

She also had her first bite of cake. She was hesitant at first but then she really dug in and I eventually had to take the plate away in fear she would go into sugar shock.

For being 1 she already has so many great friends. We are lucky we have friends and family with kids around the same age that can play together. All-in-all it was a wonderful birthday for Stella. It was such a beautiful day full of love and joy just like the day she entered into this world and she's been a blessing everyday since.

For her birthday we got her a swing set for the back yard. My girl LOVES to swing! She even fell asleep in it one time. One minute she's laughing having  a good time and the next minute her head leans forward and she's out. Wish I would have gotten a picture of it. :)

We also had her 1 year old pictures taken which I will post soon. They turned out so good! And I'll post her 1 year stats from her doctor's appointment soon too. Promise! :)
