Easter Weekend - Better Late than Never

My vow to post at least once a week is not going so good. There's so much going on I just haven't had a chance to do it. I need to make it a priority. These are posts that I can look back on many years down the road when she's all grown up and is too cool to hang out with her dear ole parents who lovenly raised her. I can read through them and remember her childhood...the good, the bad and even the ugly. I want to remember it all. It goes by way too fast and every moment is such a gift that I just want to cherish it. I know it's cheesy to say but my life wasn't complete until I had her.

Even though Easter was a couple of weeks ago we had a great weekend filled with friends and family. Saturday morning we got Stella all dressed up in her Easter dress and took her to the Stonebriar mall to do a little shopping and see the Easter bunny. Nothing like waiting till the last minute but we saw her. That's right a girl! I've never seen a girl Easter bunny before but we found one. Stella wasn't sure at first but then once I got behind the photographer and started making funny faces at her she perked right up. My girl loves to smile. :)

Pretty in blue!

Always has something to say.

Such a happy girl!

For some reason Stella points with her middle finger. One day I will have to explain that the middle finger is not your pointer finger but for right now it just makes me laugh.

We call her "mini Clint" because my genes are no where to be found.

On Easter Sunday we went over to my mom's house to do Stella's Easter basket. The weekend before we went over to Kelly's parents house for an Easter egg hunt where Stella tried to eat all the plastic eggs. Next year will be more fun because she'll actually be able to "hunt" instead of me just handing them to her and her biting them.

When we got to my mom's we gave her the basket and for some reason getting an Easter basket pissed her off. The minute we put the basket down in front of her those hands popped right up on her hips and she started frowning like you wouldn't believe. Again, we'll have to have a conversation one day about how to act when someone gives you a present but for right now I can't help but laugh. The child is funny!

I guess her Easter basket is not to her liking.

After my parents we went over to our friends house, Matt and Becky's, and had a late lunch and hung out.

Such a ham.

I finally got a bow in her hair! Needless to say it didn't last long. She's also eating like such a big girl. :)
